My veterinarian recommended this for my rescue, to help ease her to our home. I have been using it for little under 6 months. Has my cats behavior improved? Yes. Is it a result of this product, I am unsure. I know it takes time and giving your feline companion space and eventually they will warm to your presence. Even though I have 3 of these diffusers in the apartment, (Bedroom, living room, dining room) she mostly still remains in the bed room. Her food is here, her perch is here and I am always in my room during down time. So whether she is comfortable in the room because it has all she needs, or because of the diffuser. I have to lean that its more to having the things she needs in an area she feels safe in and tolerates me in.We have two female cats, ages 18 and 12. The older cat had a UTI a year or so ago, and started crying out to get attention. The UTI cleared up but the crying out continued. A trip to the vet revealed nothing wrong, so we decided to give the Feliway a try since our daughter used it for her cat and recommended it. We have used the Classic but switched to the Optimum which works even better. We have also used the multi cat since the two of them sometimes tussle. It seems to calm them down and I notice less aggression between the two. When the diffuser is empty, the behavior gets worse, and when refilled it gets better so unscientifically that is all the proof I need that it makes a difference.My cat used to, at certain times of the day, put his ears back, bite the corners of furniture, and was jumpy instead of his normal, loving self. After we plugged this into the family room outlet, he no longer behaves this way, He also isn't afraid of simple rainy days (when he used to crawl across the floor and hide in a table.) He still is afraid of heavier storms, but he will cuddle instead of hide. We have a loving cuddly cat now.I bought the refills after I was satisfied with the diffuser and initial bottle. I only have one cat but he seemed anxious some of the time — pacing and over reacting to stimuli. I have noticed a difference in his behavior and want to continue using the product. The 6-pack refill definitely gives more bang for the buck. I have found too that the bottle lasts longer than 30 days in my small house.When we brought home a new male kitten a week ago, our previous youngest, also male, who is about 3, reacted very strongly. We were worried about there being a dominance contest, or the kitten scaring the other cats with his rambunctious energy. We gave him his own space in my daughter's room for about a week and decided to try the Feliway plug in. The next time the cats saw each other we had it going for about 2 days and the reaction was far more amicable. They've been playing together happily, the older cats are a little grumpy but nothing more than usual, and my other male has taken the new kitten under his wing. I think that the Feliway made a huge difference and helped calm the cats I to settling in. That is why I ordered these refills as soon as I saw how well the first one was working. I'd highly recommend trying this for multiple cats or if introducing a new kitten.Despite having the most posh and spoiled life, my cat Sam has anxiety and pulls out his hair in clumps. We find tufts of him all over the house, and he has bald spots. But that’s been greatly reduced by using this product. He still pulls his hair out a bit, but not like before we started using this product. In fact, I know when the diffuser is empty because he begins pulling out a lot more hair again. Once I replace the empty diffuser with a full one, he pulls out less hair. I highly recommend this for cats with anxiety.We got these for our foster cat Clara who was stressed all the time. I got them at the recommendation of another foster family who said that they worked well. I think they helped her, although they are darn expensive. You need to have one in each room that your upset cat is in. I'm not sure just one in a house really helps, although maybe it is better than nothing. Overall, I did not notice an amazing difference but it seemed to help enough that it was worth it. Other foster families have had better experiences with it making a big difference. I think it really depends on you and your cat and the situation.The first time I used this I couldn't believe the difference in my cat's behavior. I have two male neutered cats, one is very old (18) and the younger one (5) kept bullying him. The fights were really out of control. I plugged in two in the room they spend the most time in and it really ended the fights. However, this round has worked a little less well and I'm now wondering if they tweaked the formula?Overall on this round, it does calm the down but slightly less than the first time we used it.
