Was as described and simple to install…Does the trick and is a conversation piece…simple, easy and looks good…i was a kitchen and bath remodel contractor for 17 years, so i am not new to hanging lights. the overall look is good, but every nut, bolt and piece of hardware involved is cheap and poorly made. in order to make it work, it required several points of "jerry rigging." The bracket to mount it does not fit standard american electrical ceiling box (instructions showed screwing the bracket to the ceiling without a box - not code). The glass cover is extremely difficult to take on and off without a second person involved as the glass is not mounted to a frame and the frame comes apart. it requires 2 hands to keep the glass from falling out when you release the cover and 2 hands to release the cover. it should not require 2 people to change light bulb. As you can see in one of the photos, I used some silicone to glue the glass in place and the 2 halves of the cover together, otherwise if you go to change the light bulb and forget that it is going to fall apart as soon as you release the locks that hold it in place, it is going to come apart and most likely break the glass diffuser. several of the bolts were striped out and i had to replace them. overall it looks pretty good once installed. the price was not bad, but you pay for what you get. If I hadnt already searched every lighting store in town for weeks looking for this style and in this color, I probably would have returned it. But when the decorator says this is the one, then you make it work. The glass does not fit. My husband is having to grind where the screws are jutting out too far to let the glass sit in. The screws barely fit where the top sits into the dome. The long screw that goes to the ceiling to make the chain fit and hold was not long enough. We had to go to a hardware store for parts. The chain does not match up to the copper light. it's more of a shiny color light almost gold color. There were no instructions in the box. Good thing my husband is a retired contractor. Also, when I opened the box, the foam covering was half missing. I feel this must have been a return item. We were too far into hanging it to return it as this is for my house in the Fl Keys. Otherwise, I would have sent this back.We had construction problem and it delayed install. We didn't check all the boxes and one of the lights turned out to be brushed finish. Too late to return so we now have an extra brushed light. Had to purchase a new extra chrome finish. Nice lights though. Still in the box for sale.I like the light but it is obviously a very cheaply produced item. Once it's hanging however, no one will ever know! The ceiling plate with the hook does not mate up to any standard electrical ceiling box. I had to drill my own holes at the very edges to make it work, no biggie but it's just one more thing that proves it's cheap. For the price, and compared to what you'd pay at Restoration Hardware or the like, I think it's a fine alternative for the cost conscious such as myself who just can't bring themselves to spend $500-2000 for a light fixture. The lamp was easy to install and came with the proper hardware. The frosted lens is perfect. This light took over a month to be delivered. When it finally arrived - literally on a slow boat from China, the installation instructions were exceptionally vague. The plate to attack the fixture to the electrical box wasn’t designed for a standard US set-up. There weren’t any caps to connect the wires. And the fixture itself is not sturdy and literally takes two people to change the lightbulb.I do have to say that the light is nice looking. It was well packed and arrived pretty quick. Unfortunately it has very poor instruction. The cover canopy to cover the wires had nothing to hold it in place. The instructions had nothing in it to say what to do for the cover plate canopy. Fortunately I'm a Tradesman and I work with metal. I tapped threads into the cover canopy and used a little screw to hold it in place. Then I just spray painted the little screw to match the black light fixture. I don't think the average person is going to go through that much trouble. Even if it was a matter of a missing screw the instructions should clarify how to fasten the cover plate. Also the cover plate had paint bubbling. For an item this expensive it's a bit disappointing. I wish I could have made a nicer review but I needed to be honest.Looks great. Very easy install for anyone with a basic knowledge. Easily fits a standard electrical box. Has the proper ground wire as well. I had it installed in about 30 min including tracking down tools. I am not an electrician but I'm pretty experienced at DIY. Will be a bit of a pain to change the bulb. Pay attention when you take it apart and remember how it goes back together. Get a bulb that lasts a long time. Is it made in China crap? Yes. Can you tell once it's up? No.I love this fixture. Goes great in my art roomThese lights are fantastic, the bronze is a perfect brownish-gold colour. They make such a statement over our island in our kitchen.Wouldn’t bother
